In order to test a single hypothesis, a biologist has to generate voluminous and disparate data sets and has to use different software tools to derive meaningful conclusions from the voluminous and disparate data sets. Any wrong methodology used and/or a wrong set of tools would lead to disastrously erroneous result interpretation. More often than not a biologist struggles with a given set of software tools being used for the critical data analysis as these tools may be from open source with out any support or may be supplied by different vendors with no knowledge about their development. Application integration with seamless data flow from the input file to the result visualization is the key to lessen the burden and enhance the success ratio of biological research.

Quascade is conceptualized and designed by biologists to help fellow biologists to achieve the aforesaid application integration of the related set of applications to expedite their data analysis at a faster pace thereby increasing the efficiency of data analysis. In order to achieve the same amount efficiency when using a bunch of compute intensive applications, it is imperative to develop automated and distributed workflows that make critical biological data analysis a breeze.

MP2 is the powerful backend server with intrinsic job scheduling and cluster management capabilities. It can be easily scaled up to GRID and CLOUD levels.
